Me describiría a mi mismo como
Call me Jordan. A few things you might want to know:
- The creed I follow is "fides et ratio" - faith and reason. As a Catholic I have the first, as an intellectual I have the second, as a human being I have both - and I see no problem with that.
- South Louisiana is home for me - always has been, always will be - and it shows in two major ways. One: I was raised on politics. Two: I am Cajun and proud of it. If #1 meets #2, it will have my attention. (The proof may be found in the thesis library of the UL Honors Program.) You have been warned.
- I've been known to have a way with words, especially when analysis is involved. If I'm in a mood to add my particular brand of dry wit to the equation, prepare for fireworks.
- Opinion on rules: when all else fails, read the directions. When you can do it, write better directions. When you blow off the directions without having something higher to invoke... THEN we have a problem.
- Everything above says a lot, but it doesn't say everything. Prepare for surprises if you ever meet me in person.
I don't have a clear "image" of The One just yet, but there are a few qualities I'd hope for from "the one," God willing: reasonably intelligent, willing to "see the world" (given my field of study), and able to appreciate culture - arts, music, etc. (Knowing a foreign language will "score points" with me, ESPECIALLY if it's French - see #2 above.)
