Be responsible adults & research history, you'll see socialism is the opposite of freedom. Democrats mislead you, they fought to keep slavery, fought against equal rights & founded the KKK. It was antislavery whites & freed slaves who founded the Republican Party.  There also never was a political party switch, that's a myth fabricated by the surmise evil democrat party to gain the trust of people without question. FYI manipulating & disarming citizens is how Hitler gained his power in Germany.
