I Would Describe Myself As
Whenever you feel angry, sad, depressed, resentful, or less than, make a gratitude list.
I could write a book about myself, my personality, things I've done, places I've been too...but so what? I'll send that to a publisher...
Here's a list of...Just a few things I'm grateful for...and perhaps, if nothing else, it will remind the reader of things they are grateful for, too.
1) My 19 yr old son, who is super cool, supportive of my dreams and goals, as I am his. And... his amazing brilliant brain.
2) I have a roof over my head, it's a nice roof, in a nice neighborhood. It's quiet, and pretty.
3) I am grateful for a handful of really good friends and another handful of pretty good friends, all of which care about me and I love so much.
4) I have work, I GET TO work...doesn't matter if it's fun, or not, (fortunately, I like everything I've done, and do. lol) I get to make a living. This is good.
5) I can, and do, eat really good food. I'm blessed (and my guests, too), that I know what to do with it.
6) My health may not be perfect but I'm in pretty good health. I can walk, I can talk, I can run, I can see, I can hear. I have tons of energy. I'm grateful for my health, it's pretty darn good.
7) I have my spiritual family, my AA family, biological family, and friends...A team, doing life with me. I don't control life and it doesn't control me. (Liberating! at least!) The more on my team the better. (Everyone should think of the healthy people in their lives as their support, their team. It's like armor...Let the toxic people fall off)
8) I am grateful for the tools to learn what healthy boundaries are and how to enforce them, NOT THE MOMMA! NOR THE SLAVE! which means PEACE! Dang! I'm grateful to have Peace! (Work with my hands, live a quiet life, and mind my own business) Love is an action word, it isn't self-serving, it doesn't manipulate, it isn't jealous, it isn't controlling, it's freely given.
9) I'm grateful to be able to go back to school, that I live close enough to one, to walk. (because I love to walk and ride my bike) Never too old or too young to learn, stretch, and grow. Stretch and grow baby, stretch and grow. (smile and nod)
10) I am the most grateful to God, that he never gives up on me, and that I cannot earn His love. He's a better driver and I'm safe in the passenger seat. I no longer feel the need to drive...(metaphorically speaking)
11) I'm also SOOO grateful that He's giving me the tools to live life Sober, (April 3 will be 2 yrs.) and that I GOT IT, while I'm still young enough to have a life. It's a good life...a very good life. I like to keep things simple.

What Do You Look For?
No need to respond if you smoke, drink, drug, are younger than 34 or older than 45. I'm sure there are a whole bunch of really good guys in some of those, but I know what I want and what I don't want.
A clean, sober, kind, laid-back Christian guy that's not self-absorbed. Also, a man who wants to/is not afraid to, travel, and sometimes live in other countries, do some humanitarian work, etc...
Also, everyone has some of this or that...history, baggage, weird stuff, whatever...TODAY are you healthy? or at least pursuing health? TODAY are you honest? Are you seeking truth? Are you owning your own shit? or blaming others for it? or...Are you toxic to yourself and/or others, moving forward or living in the past? Are you a part of the problem? OR Part of the Solution?
