I am a dynamic 57 year old widow of 5 years. I have 8 terrific children, two of whom are still at home, and 6 beautiful grandchildren. Family is most important to me and the more the merrier.
I am not looking for father for my children. I am looking for a friend, lover, companion. Someone who loves to go for long walks, have stimulating conversations, cuddle on cold winter nights or when the temperature is off the scale. A gentleman who loves the country but also enjoys great entertainment.
I love to garden and put down preserves, in fact it is already heating up around here as preserving is already underway. A great book comes into the picture, well that night you may have to make dinner. But most nights it will be ready and waiting.
I am no longer the trophy to be shown off on your arm. I am a real woman, the kind you can't wait to come home to.
The church family is as important as my own. Ours is a country church, and we enjoy each others company and do many things together.

Marginalized people, the most vulnerable in our society, are put into institutions for whose convenience? Nursing homes have people who don't belong there. It seems every nursing home I go into or hear about has people with Downs Syndrome. These people are not old and are usually woman. They sit, and sit and sit. There life has no meaning, and their lives end up having no meaning. I would love to have a great bit home and live as a family with a group of these people, build some simple business and give their lives richness which we all need.

I want a man who is secure in himself, who won't be jealous over silly things. Someone who loves to cook beside me, who doesn't need the house to be spotless, would much rather have a home full of warmth. Must love large families and family gatherings. Must love walks in the park or along the beach, holding hands, kissing almost anywhere anytime. Must like animals. Must love to laugh.
Must love me for who I am.
