As an English teacher, someone used to talking hours a day with high schoolers about just about anything, writing isn't the challenging part of this assignment. How on earth do I narrow down the details? Have to start at the beginning and say that I'm a devoted, grateful, church attending, Care Group going Christian, and I'm also serving God as a single. I'm a red head, and my father has always said that it starts at my toes, meaning that I'm a red head through and through, looks and personality. I am very passionate as well as being rather analytical. I relate, sympathize and empathize constantly, to the point that I can't sit still through embarrassing parts of movies and generally find those times the perfect opportunity to get a snack or leave the room for some other excuse. I trust easily and forgive quickly, but I'm not a fool either. My exs would give me letters of recommendations because they are very nice people, though I don't, as a general rule, think it's a good idea to keep exs in my life when my goal is to move on. *smile* I am "too chipper" according to my students, who have the ridiculous idea that I am a morning person (probably because I have been up for three hours by the time I get up, exercise, shower, dress and commute an hour to work). I love to smile, laugh, grin, giggle and enjoy myself. My favorite activity is spending time with someone I care about: friend or family or partner. I love cats, sleeping late, wearing warm pjs on a cold day, chocolate cake/cookies/brownies (which because I eat a healthy diet are a rare treat) and reading, specifically learning more about my faith or myself or something else through books.

The first thing people probably notice about me is my hair. It's red, gold/bronze highlights, nearly orange according to some of my students, but it's natural, and it's mine. People might also notice that I am VERY pale, have freckles, blue eyes, etc, but I'm guessing that, right after the hair, they notice the personality. I have a big persona, and I guess the fact that I talk with my hands doesn't hurt either (italian blood). That's how I can look at a nearly 6' tall student and still put them in their place. *smile*

The purpose of meeting for the first time is to see if we click, so someplace relaxed that gives us ample opportunities to get to know each other would be best, but of course, since it's the first meeting, some place public.

I guess I'd really like to learn to dance, for real. I work out to bellydancing videos, and I've learned a few ways to move so that I can enjoy a wedding reception, but I'd love to feel confident in my movements and my awareness of my body. I'm a bit clumsy most of the time, so it would feel good to be smooth for a change. *smile*

Fortunately, my career is set up and secure. I'm a high school teacher in a great district, and starting on the second day of next year, I'll have tenure, so I won't have to worry about being laid off. I'm not really a goal-oriented person, but I do want to get married and have a family, maybe two kids. I guess I just want to share my life with someone special.
